Rever Offshore are looking for Temporary 6 Month QA/QC Advisor based in our Aberdeen office.


Description and Main Purpose of Job:

To provide an authority on quality assurance and quality control support to assure that the established quality management system is implemented and maintained within Rever Offshore and that all company, project customer, statutory and regulatory requirements are being fulfilled.

Accountability and Key Performance Areas:

• To support and assist in the further development, implementation and maintenance in the following areas:
- Risk Management processes which ensures that we identify, understand and mitigate risk
- Developing, implementing and maintaining documentation for the BMS
- Assurance and verification activities to meet Rever Offshore’s strategic and business objectives and goals
- Performance and Knowledge Management
• Sound knowledge of and adherence to the Business Management System (BMS) framework and governance
• Demonstrate behaviours and attitude which align to and support Rever Offshore core values


Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide QA/QC support to the Projects, Tendering and the QHSE Department in all aspects of the fabrication process
• Management and control of inspections involving Request for Inspection (RFI), Inspection Cost Time Resource (CTR), Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), Notification of Inspection (NOI), Rever Offshore QA/QC Site Visit Report, review and approval of 3rd Party Inspection Reports, and issue of Inspection Release Note (IRN). This activity includes liaising with Supplier, 3rd Party Inspection Agency, 3rd Party Inspectors, Independent Verification Body (IVB) and Client
• Management and control of inspection of client free issue items. Generate and issue subsequent inspection report, including detailing any overages, shortage and damages
• Lead Auditor for supplier audits, adopting risk-based approach
• Perform supplier site visit requirements to support projects
• Assist in the supplier approval process, including fabricators
• Internal Auditor for BMS Compliance
• Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Opportunities for Improvement in line with service delivery or as a result of audit
• Assist all departments in identifying corrective and preventative actions
• Interface and liaison with Projects, Commercial, Asset and Services (AAS) for QA/QC function and support
• Support and assist the Lead QHSE Advisor (Project Delivery) as required
• Establish, develop and maintain project, tender and customer specific quality plans when required
• Provide support to Tendering department including estimating QA/QC time and resource
• Carry out non-conformance investigations as part of a designated team
• Present NCR’s for approval at Local / Exec Management review meetings
• Assist with completion of actions within QHSE 90 Day Plans, and contribute towards achievement of business Leading and Lagging Indicators
• Assist with the Company’s management of FPAL and associated verification processes
• Collation and analysis of quality related data and statistics
• Encourage and promote quality awareness throughout all areas of the organisation
• Provide support to the QA/QC team, project QHSE Advisors, offshore Safety Coaches, and graduates, in the general QA/QC requirements of the department
• Assist the QA team in monitoring and improving processes and systems within the BMS
• Supporting the Leadership Team as appropriate, completing specific focused tasks, to support the continuing improvement in operational excellence and the long term Company strategy
• Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified, in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these

Essential
• Quality Management knowledge and training or considerable experience in QA/QC position
• Lead Auditor
• Engineering background or working knowledge of engineering practices
• Relevant auditing qualification
• Knowledge of quality management systems
• Relevant experience of providing QA/QC advice in a dynamic project/company environment
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work using own initiative or as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Ability to effectively manage own workload and work within given timescales (both internal and external), ensuring project requirements are met
• Adaptability and problem solving capability


Preferred

• Degree qualified
• Working knowledge of fabrication practices and processes
• Membership of CQI (or similar) working towards Chartership
