Rever Offshore are looking for a permanent Assistant Buyer within the Commercial Department based in our Aberdeen office:

Description and Main Purpose of Job:

Working with and supporting the project buyers in all aspects of procurement & expediting

Accountability and Key Performance Areas:

• Sound knowledge of and adherence to the Business Management System (BMS) framework and governance
• Demonstrate behaviours and attitude which align to and support Rever Offshore core values

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the timely sourcing of goods and services to meet the company’s requirements
• Supporting the accurate maintenance of Procurement Plans and/or other reporting documentation
• Aid the procurement team to contribute to and monitor efficiencies (cost, lead time, quality, etc) brought about by consolidated purchasing and planning of requirements
• Assist in resolving issues where a vendor’s invoice does not reflect the procurement documents, or any information provided via hire log, or directly from projects/vessels
• Provide support to the buyers in supporting Projects or departments to establish price and availability for equipment and services
• Working with buyers to review and update supplier performance in consultation with QA Department by the use of feedback and performance management results via key performance indicators, FPAL or as otherwise required
• To undertake any administration required to undertake above duties
• Provide ERP system assistance to project buyers
• Supporting the Leadership Team as appropriate, completing specific focused tasks, to support the continuing improvement in operational excellence and the long term Company strategy
• Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified, in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these

Essential

• Educated to secondary level
• Competent Microsoft Office Suite user
• Good communication and organisational skills with the ability to use own initiative
• Ability to work as part of a team and to build effective working relationships
• Ability to effectively manage own workload, and work within given timescales (both internal and external), ensuring project requirements are met

Preferred

• Previous experience in the use of procurement systems (ERP’s)
• Have an understanding of purchasing processes and procedures
