Rever Offshore has a vacancy for a permanent ROV Base Technician, based in our warehouse in Aberdeen:

The main purpose of this job is to ensure ROV assets and equipment within workshop are fit for purpose.

Accountability and Key Performance Areas:

• Assist with ensuring that key supplier interfaces are effectively managed.
• Ensuring all ROV equipment in Hangar is suitably maintained and certified.
• Ensure ROV equipment being sent offshore is fit for purpose.
• Sound knowledge of and adherence to the Business Management System (BMS) framework and governance.
• Demonstrate behaviours and attitude which align to and support Rever Offshore core values.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct and co-ordinate base refurbishment work of ROV systems.
• Ensure all ROV equipment in base is secure, kept in good condition and fully serviceable.
• Perform pre and post deployment checks and audits in line with Rever Offshore processes.
• Communicate with ROV on and offshore work force and Supply Chain Management departments to ensure accurate and timely delivery of ROV equipment.
• Ensure equipment repairs are carried out in a timely and commercially viable way.
• Develop working relationships with all staff and contractors.
• Supervise ROV apprentices within the base.
• Perform vessel visits to provide support and advice to offshore crews.
• The position also requires a strong working relationship with the logistics team to assist and supervise the transport of equipment to and from projects.
• The position demands responsibility and a necessity to set an example, show initiative and apply a high level of QC throughout their duties.
• Supporting the Leadership Team as appropriate, completing specific focused tasks, to support the continuing improvement in operational excellence and the long term Company strategy.
• Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified, in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these.

Essential Experience, Competency and Skill Requirements;

• Relevant Experience within ROV industry, either on or offshore.
• Suitable engineering qualification or equivalent ROV /Engineering experience.

Preferred;

• Experience in technical support or ROV operational position.
• Competent Microsoft Office.
